Chris Ewing worked with me as a direct report at VetCentric, Inc., as a consultant for a strategic project. For the record, if I had an open, approved headcount, I would invite Chris to come to work with us on a permanent, full-time basis to lead the web development marketing efforts for our online Veterinary Pharmacy and help us refine and bring our online consumer communications strategy to life.
Chris is a talented and focused contributor who began contributing from Day 1, using his untraditional background to our advantage because he was able to draw on so many different experiences as it relates to the online space. Furthermore, Chris demonstrated that he understands that the purpose of all activity is accomplishment and building a profitable business. His work ethic and fit within the team were outstanding, often motivating the rest of my team with fresh insights and an esprit de corps that was genuinely contagious. That, coupled with the fact that he demonstrated that he can take a strategy and translate it into a meaningful, easy-to-use web presence made it almost impossible to detect that Chris had not previously come from a traditional marketing career path.
Although Chris will not be joining us at VetCentric, I look forward to a mentoring relationship with him for years to come.
